Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The Employee Assistance Program is a free and confidential counselling service available to staff and their family for either work-related or personal matters.

We believe in developing our people. Our structured performance planning process, combined with professional development opportunities, supports personal and professional growth. We can offer long-term career opportunities for those interested in developing specialist skills in the community mental health area or in the expanding NDIS service landscape.

All new employees commence their Wellways journey with a comprehensive orientation program that spans your initial months with us.  The Wellways two-day orientation introduces the organisation – our history, mission, vision and values, through to our structure, our programs and our consumers. This is complemented by a local orientation that meets the location and program-based induction and training needs.

All new staff members also attend a three-hour workshop, which provides an overview of mental illness. This workshop is particularly useful for staff members who come to Wellways from other sectors.

Leave loading
Employees at Wellways receive 17.5% leave loading paid at the time of taking leave.

Superannuation
Wellways will make employer superannuation contributions according to legislative requirements to each employee’s nominated superannuation fund.  Employees may also elect to make additional voluntary superannuation contributions, by speaking to their financial advisor and submitting their request through payroll.

Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)
We are committed to reconciliation and are developing a plan to work respectfully and meaningfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
